Non-compliant claims rejected by main industry body
17/Feb/2010
The Insulation Council of Australia and New Zealand (ICANZ) rejects claims by the Polyester Insulation Manufacturers Association (PIMA) that a large proportion of insulation material installed under the Federal home insulation program are non-compliant, as false and unsubstantiated.
The claims were made during the Senate Hearing into the Federal Government’s Energy Efficiency Homes Program, underway in Melbourne today.
Mr Dennis D’Arcy CEO ICANZ said, “There was no evidence to support these claims.
“Based on our significant industry experience, we reject these claims as false and unsubstantiated.”
ICANZ will be presenting at the afternoon session of the Hearing today.
