Winter Edition 2006
The winter edition of ICANZ News Update features a number of important industry issues and developments that are relevant to progressing the implementation of the 5 Star energy efficiency building code in Australia and the NSW BASIX 40%. They include:

Autumn Edition 2006
Recent months have seen a significant shift towards polarised positions by governments, industry groups and the media on the important issue of energy efficiency of buildings.
The Federal Government has spoken out against the introduction of 5-Star energy efficiency measures being included in the Building Code of Australia. This stand is at odds with the considered decision of the Federal Government's own Australian Building Codes Board and the arguments of a diverse range of leading environmental and industry groups, including ICANZ.
Spring Edition 2005
During the past months ICANZ has been very active in making representation to government and creating media interest in our industry's critical response to reports from the Productivity Commission and Victorian Competition and Efficiency Commission regarding government initiatives to create more energy efficient buildings.
